Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University (PTRSU) is the largest and oldest institution of higher education in Chhattisgarh. Established in 1964, it is named after the first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The university’s expansive campus, covering 207 hectares, is located in the western part of Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh.

PTRSU comprises 29 teaching departments, six of which have been recently built, and offers a diverse range of independent courses across multiple disciplines. The university employs 700 administrative staff members who provide essential support at various levels.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) reaccredited PTRSU with an “A” grade in its third cycle in 2016. The university was scheduled for its fourth cycle of accreditation in December 2021.
