Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences (BRAUSS) was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh under Act No. 2 of 2016, published in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette (Extraordinary) on January 13, 2016. It is the first university in India dedicated to social sciences, integrating social science methodologies with scientific and technological innovation to promote socioeconomic development and educational excellence among Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
